Welcome to Frio River’s Edge

Welcome to our home. We consider the Frio River to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Our family has enjoyed this river for over 30 years and it is our blessing to now be able to share it with you.

We hope you enjoy your stay at our rustic log cabin. There is an abundance of things to do while you are here. You can enjoy a scenic bike or car ride, hiking, shopping, eating out at restaurants, go the bat cave. You can venture to Uvalde to see a movie or tour a museum. Our favorite thing, of course, is to relax in, swim in, or tube the crystal clear Frio River.

We have tried to provide everything you might need for your stay. We have linens, towels, dishes, and fully equipped kitchen (including a microwave, coffee maker, pots & pans, dishes, etc.). We also have a blow dryer, curling iron and an iron to press your clothes if you feel the need. The cabin includes a washer and dryer as well – you just need to bring laundry soap and softener. We have a foosball table, and horseshoes as well as a bar-b-que pit for your use.

The cabin has 2 bedrooms and sits on 2 acres of land. One room has a king and two queen sized beds. The other has a king, a queen, and a full sized bed. The rooms are very large there is plenty of room to stretch out and relax. It also has two full bathrooms. One of the best features is the large front porch to watch the wildlife from (we have a deer feeder and bird baths and houses), and the huge deck with a view of the Frio River and the hills surrounding the Frio Canyon area.

We are pet lovers, so we understand that you may want to bring your four legged friends with you. That is allowed as long as they are house trained, well behaved, and free of fleas. Please don’t leave your pet loose and unattended in the house. We would appreciate it if you would crate them when left alone. In addition, there are gates on the back deck that can be locked in order to secure your pet if they must be left for unattended for a while, but be cautious of the temperatures.

Please be conscious of conserving energy and water. Please turn out all lights and water when not in use. Keep the doors closed if the air conditioning is on, etc. Please treat our home like you would your own – with respect. Once again, welcome and we hope you enjoy your stay.
